FBI Director Kash Patel and his deputy Dan Bongino, known conspiracy theorists, face backlash from MAGA supporters after dismissing theories about Jeffrey Epstein’s death. They claimed Epstein died by suicide, not murder as some believe. The unproven homicide allegations have sparked theories that Epstein was killed to hide secrets about co-conspirators.
Bongino faced criticism on social media after reiterating his stance on X: “I’ve reviewed the case. Jeffrey Epstein killed himself,” he stated. “There’s no evidence indicating otherwise.”
Far-right figures like Alex Jones were displeased with Patel and Bongino’s remarks, with Jones criticizing them on X.
Of course, Patel and Bongino bear responsibility for MAGA outrage due to their own past promotion of conspiracy theories.
Now facing backlash similar to Attorney General Pam Bondi over Epstein, Patel and Bongino are discovering the pitfalls of engaging with fervent conspiracy theorists who demand more details they currently can’t provide.
Perhaps Patel and Bongino now know what it feels like to present honest data to the public, only to be trashed by conspiracy theorists (like themselves) who desperately want to cling onto their wacky, unsubstantiated claims because they fit their faulty narratives.
